[edit] Controversy over origin of Sylvan Lake
I have removed some copy from the page reading as follows:
"You state 'It is named after Sylvan lake, which is a man-made lake' not so the lake is not man made and was there long before the white man step foot in this country. Thom Usher/Beekman Town Historian"
Copy like this does not belong in the article. If the assertion is indeed true, the article should be edited to reflect that, and the writing should conform to the style set forth in the article. (Articles themselves are not places for arguing.)
[edit] Inclusion of extraneous information in "Sylvan Lake" bullet point
I think that the entire passage reading "A smaller lake known as Hidden Lake..." should be removed. Possibly it could be moved to the history section. It is non-essential to the bullet point, and imbalanced when compared to the lengths of the other bullet points. - M.D.

West Pawling is not a section in Beekman... -Mgarnes2
