[edit] History
The club was founded in 2004 by Andy Buckley and Abe Kerr. The club formed with a mission to promote rugby league in Bedford, Kempston and the surrounding areas by utilising existing rugby league talent in the town and bringing in a high proportion of new young players, allowing the club to work hard and make a mark on the league.
The club finished second in the London Amateur Rugby League (ARL) with a record of 5 wins and 3 defeats. The Tigers however had to do things the hard way with only 2 home matches all season and 3 visits south of the Thames. The Tigers earned their place in the Grand Final with an away win at Feltham, only to be tamed in the final.
In 2006 Bedford qualified for the national quarter-finals of the RLC after coming through the play-offs of the East division.
