Welcome
Wow thanks for all the welcomes!! I have the brain of an encylopedia and would like to start helping with Wikipedia but I think I messed up the last 2 things I did. UGH!!! I am going to spend some time reading and "playing in the sandbox" if I can find it. Wanna get good at this before I mess more stuff up!! Did I write that in the right place!!! :) Becca77 2 July 2005 05:55 (UTC) OOh I did it - I did the tilde thing!
Haha you seem to have the wisdom many of us lack in that yout try out before you work on the wikipedia, like one who speaks before he thinks. Kudos to you. Redwolf24 09:56, 10 July 2005 (UTC)
Welcome! (We can't say that loud/big enough!)
Here are a few links you might find helpful:
- Be Bold!
- Don't let grumpy users scare you off.
- Meet other new users
- Learn from others
- Play nice with others
- Contribute, Contribute, Contribute!
- Tell us about you
If you have any questions or problems, no matter what they are, leave me a message on my talk page.
We're so glad you're here!
By the way, you can sign your user name and the date by typing four tildes ~~~~ . Three tildes ~~~ , produces just your user name, and five tildes ~~~~~ signs the date only (no username). Most of the time, you should sign your posts (to talk pages and votes, not to articles) with the four tildes. (The tilde is usually the key to the left of the 1 key.) If you have any other questions, ask them at my talk page. -- Essjay ยท Talk 06:29, Jun 22, 2005 (UTC)
Welcome!
Welcome to Wikipedia, Becca77! I've noticed that you "nominated" yourself at Wikipedia:Clueless newbies. I would be more than happy to answer any questions you have and help you get the "hang" of Wikipedia. For starters, do you have any specific questions? You can contact me by clicking the "A note?" link in my signature, then editing and leaving a note at the bottom of my user talk page. Feel free to contact me for help! Once again, welcome- we really hope you stay! Flcelloguy | A note? | Desk 23:18, 22 Jun 2005 (UTC)
Welcome!
Welcome from me too. By the way, on the off-chance that you're British rather than American, might I suggest that the tilde may also be above the # key next to the <Enter> key! But you've found it by now, I'm sure... Anyway. Do ask us for help like he said. Brequinda 28 June 2005 15:57 (UTC)

Yes some of the links appear a bit boring at first, but they are VERY helpful if you ever take the time to read them.
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! By the way, please be sure to sign your name on Talk and vote pages using four tildes (Redwolf24 09:56, 10 July 2005 (UTC)) to produce your name and the current date, or three tildes (Redwolf24) for just your name. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my Talk page. Again, welcome.
