Beckwourth Pass (el. 5,221 ft. / 1,591 m), named in honor of James Beckwourth, is a mountain pass in the Sierra Nevada Mountains in California.
It is traversed by California State Route 70 and is one of the lowest crossings of the Sierra Nevada in California. It is also the route that the Union Pacific (former Western Pacific) used to cross the Sierras along their Feather River route. The pass is located east of Portola near the small town of Beckwourth, California.
