Bechtolsheim is a municipality at the foot of the Petersberg in the Alzey-Worms district in the Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany.

Sights are the town hall erected 1592 with southern appealing arcades, the perpendicular Gothic united church St. Maria and Saint Christopher, the benefactor table of the castle of the House of Dalberg and a memorial table for the folklife researcher Wilhelm Hoffmann on the parsonage.

The place lies near the Selz creek which is flowing along the Petersberg. The next town is Alzey (10 km) and in 30 km distance the capital Mainz, both easy to be approached by the Autobahn A63. Being a wine growing site, Bechtolsheim is part of wine-producing region Rheinhessen.

The arms are testified by the Dorfgerichtssiegel of 1590, two reliefs at the town hall and a handpainted „official" arms drawing, created between 1790 and 1797. Silver and black are also the colours in the arms of the Ganerbschaft Bechtolsheim.

The new arms are divided into four parts of equal size. Left above and right below blue background with stylized flowers (fleur-de-lys). Right above and left below silver background with a black ring in each. In the middle a horizontal black bar.
