[edit] White Tie?...
I'm not convinced that 'formal wear', as in black/white tie etc can really be included as a link on a Beachwear article...

- Beachwear - basically unwikified. Plus, the article is just weird, hardly encyclopedic. RickK 21:13, Oct 2, 2004 (UTC)
- And is becoming more and more bizarre. RickK 04:11, Oct 3, 2004 (UTC)
- Bizarre is not the word, is it meant to be useful advice? Giano 14:57, 3 Oct 2004 (UTC)
- Perspective seems less than global: "Many people like to remain 'beach ready' at all times". Transwiki to the California Wikipedia. --Bishonen 18:12, 4 Oct 2004 (UTC)
- Modified perspective to specify location. Beachwear seems unlikely outside of the Western Hemisphere's temperate coastal regions. Kerowyn 10:50, 29 August 2005 (UTC)

I'd welcome any suggestions folks may have, on the layout and organization of this article, and on it's conformability to Wikipedia style, etc.. Glogger 21:26, 2 Oct 2004 (UTC)
[edit] removing Surviability section
As per various of the comments on the deletion page, I removed the Surviability section since it is not a common understanding of the use and or benefits of beachwear. JesseW 02:46, 19 Oct 2004 (UTC)
[edit] Deep flaws
I've identified two major flaws with this article:
1. It lacks global perspective. Not only does it seem to conform mostly to Western notions of ideal beachwear, it uses quite a bit of British vocabulary that will be unfamiliar to readers outside the UK and particularly to those whose native tongue is not English.
2. It takes the form of advice rather than ancyclopedic cataloguing, imposing normative standards of formality or offering suggestions for certain situations or environments. As such, it is not entirely appropriate as an encyclopedia article.
