There are over 40 Public Beaches in Jamaica. Some Public Beaches make an entry charge for use of facilities, and have security guards.

Many hotels on the sea front are able to control access to what is effectively their private beach. They may allow non-residents to gain access and also use their facities for a fee. Where it has been possible to determine a fee for public use of this private access these are included in this category.
