"Beatles Forever" is a song recorded by the Electric Light Orchestra in 1983, intended for the album Secret Messages. When the album was cut from a planned two-disc set to one, it was abandoned. It is currently the only "lost" track from the album not to appear officially (as a bonus track or part of a compilation). One version circulates among bootleggers, apparently from a high-generation tape.

[edit] Lyrics

Beatles Forever
There's something about the Beatles' songs
That lives forever more
The beauty of the harmony
The sound of the Fab Four
All their music will live after them
(verse unintelligible)
They really took the world (line unintelligible)
Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
All You Need Is Love
I Wanna Hold Your Hand
Hey Jude, have a Revolution
When you feel the beat you've gotta move your feet
You got the rhythm (word unintelligible) and the pretty tune
Rock And Roll eternity
And started out at Mersey Beat
I tried to write a good song
A song with feel and care
I think it quite a good song
'Till I hear one of theirs
It makes you wonder how they did it
(John and Paul and George and Ringo)
And listen to the secret there
(line lost)
Strawberry Fields Forever and ever
(words inaudible) on Penny Lane
Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds
Get Back to Yesterday
When you feel the beat you've gotta move your feet
You got the rhythm (word unintelligible) and the pretty tune
Rock And Roll eternity
That started out at Mersey Beat
All the children sing
Beatles Forever
Please Please Me
Eleanor Rigby
I Am The Walrus, Goo Goo Gajoob
She Loves You
Day Tripper
Eight Days a Week
Don't take no Mystery Tour
When you feel the beat you've gotta move your feet
You got the rhythm (word unintelligible) and the pretty tune
Rock And Roll eternity
That started out at Mersey Beat
Beatles Forever
Beatles Forever
Yeah, Yeah, Yeah
