Beat Up
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Beat Up by The Toasters was their first officially released effort. Up until this point only a few home made demo tapes had been made and passed around. This was released long before they became the power house ska band with the huge horn section they have since been associated with. Not until 2005 would the Toasters become a steady 5-piece again.

[edit] Interesting Notes
There is a "Side 1" and a "Side A".
There were 40 copies made available that were signed and numbered by the artist Tanino Liberatore.
Vicky Rose's dad put up the money to have the 7-inch pressed.
The song 'Brixton Beat' would later be re-arranged and re-titled as 'East Side Beat'. The track 'The Beat' has never been re-recorded but was put on as a bonus track on the Moon Ska Records re-release of the album Thrill Me Up.
