Bear flat

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Bear Flat is an area of Bath, UK, to the south of Churchill Bridge, around the Bear pub on the Wellsway. Its name derives from the flatness of the land around the Bear pub.

The Avenues of Poets Corner run down to it (Shakespeare, Milton, Kipling, Longfellow), and the Holloway comes back down towards town from it.

It has a Co-op, a Smile (another convenience store), Andrews Estate Agents, Rolfeys Antique Shop, the Carphone Warehouse, Majestic Wine, Da Vinci's Pizza Take-away and a new delicatessen.

It is on the main road from Bath to Radstock - the A367.
