[edit] The Reason Behing the Name
Bear Lake was given its name from all the black bears that used to roam around the small lake. Pride was taken very seriously by the men and women who used to reside in the gleaming star of a town, but this name has become an ugly thing, as it has been cursed by some of the lower people living in the town. Coincidentally an air shot of lake shows that the trees growing around the lake take the shape of a bears body and head.
[edit] History
From current knowledge Bear Lake was and started as a simple old mill town consisting of the workers families. As word of the amazing views and prime land grew so did the little town. But since the restriction of jobs and communication was fairly limited it didn't grow all that big. As years went by the town sustained a fair reputation as a great vacation spot and well rounded place to live. Of course the town stayed live and well with a hospital and general store even it own fire station. But as the years of keeping up the town grew older as did the people who cared about the heart and soul of Bear Lake. The Hospital went down, and eventually disappeared, as did the cozy little general store that once was a local place to chat with other shoppers. The days of keeping your houses nice, and careing about your fellow residents were over.
[edit] Life Today
Today Bear Lake has its good days and bad, but now its just a small black ember of the great flaming heart it used to have. People say its an "Awesome place to vacation", but thats only if your staying in your vacation home for that vacation. Even the church that had faired the longest in Bear Lake has been abandoned and is now inhabitated by some of lowest moochers in the town. Even the fire station is getting pretty low. Even Teenagers who are supposed to be having the time of thier lives in thier prime years can't enjoy living here as when anything goes wrong they get blamed and the town sinks even further into its grave. Eventually if the town doesn't pick up it will be abandoned by any people worth living next to, and eventually the moochers are left, keeping the once shining star un polished and gathering dust.
