The Beacon Street Girls is a series of children's books based in Brookline, Massachusetts. The stories focus around five girls who all live around Beacon Street in Brookline and are in the same middle school class. The girls come from varied backgrounds and all have distinct personalities. The series aims at promoting healthy images and lifestyles for 9-13 year old girls. The books are written by Annie Bryant. The Beacon Street Girls incorporates popular Boston landmarks into a world of fictional, pre-teen adventure.

Charlotte Ramsey: A self-acknowledged "klutz" and an aspiring writer, Charlotte is all too familiar with being the new kid in town. She is intelligent, worldy, and curious.

Katani Summers: a.k.a. Kgirl... Katani has a strong fashion sense and business savvy. She is stylish, loyal, and cool.

Avery Koh Madden: Avery is passionate about all sports and animal rights. She is energetic, optimistic and outspoken.

Maeve Kaplan-Taylor: Maeve wants to be a movie star. Bubbly and upbeat, she wears her heart on her sleeve. She is entertaining, friendly and fun. Known in the BSG as The Minister of Fun, Romance, and Entertainment.

Isabel Martinez: Her ambition is to be an artist. She was the last to join the Beacon Street Girls. She is artistic, sensitive and kind in every single way.

Marty (the dog): The adopted best friend of the Beacon Street Girls is feisty, cuddly, and suave.

Happy Lucky Thingy and alter ego Mad Nasty Thingy (Marty's chew toy): Marty's favourite chew toy, it is known to reveal its alter ego when shaken too roughly. He is most often happy.

Ms. Razzberry Pink: The stylishly pink proprietor of the "Think Pink" boutique is chic, gracious, and charming.

Book 1 - Worst Enemies/Best Friends

Summary:Charlotte Ramsey moves from Paris, France, to Boston, Massachusetts. There she atttends a new school where she and four other seventh-grade girls are assigned to sit at the same cafeteria table during lunch. All five girls have completely different intersts and personalities, and start out disliking each other. However, as time goes on their bond with each other grows and they decide to form their own club, the BSG.

Book 2 - Bad News/Good News

Summary: When the Beacon Street Girls find out that Charlotte's Dad is planning on taking Charlotte and moving out of Boston and away from the BSG, they form a plan to talk him out of it.

Book 3 - Letters From the Heart

Summary:Maeve struggles with her parents' recent divorce and a shaky relationship with her crush, Dillon.

Book 4 - Out of Bounds

Summary: The BSG's school is holding a talent show. The girls are excited at first, but things get complicated when a clique of "mean girls" tries to steal the show, and Isabel unknowingly gets involved with them.

Book 5 - Promises, Promises

Summary: Problems arise when Avery and Katani run against each other for 7th grade class president. Accusations are thrown everywhere when campaign posters start to disappear from the hallways.

Book 6 - Lake Rescue

The BSG's seventh grade class takes a camping trip to Lake Rescue. One of their classmates struggles with an overweight problem.

Book 7 - Freaked Out

Summary: When Avery is labeled "Too Immature" to be invited to the party of the year, the rest of the BSG is unsure of what to do. Then things get freaked out when the party of the year starts to get way out of control.

Book 8 - Lucky Charm

Summary: The BSGs beloved pet and mascot, Marty the dog, is missing! The girls try everything to find him.

Book 9 - Fashion Frenzy

Summary: Katani and Maeve attend a major fashion show in New York and get the opportunities of a lifetime! Back in Boston, the other three girls take a fieldtrip to a mummy exhibit at a museum and Isabel gets freaked out.
