It was founded in 1967 and is part of the English Schools Foundation. Beacon Hill School is one of the oldest ESF school in Hong Kong.

Science and math rooms replaced the old art room. The school library and every classroom in the school is equipped with an interactive whiteboard.

Towards the end of every year, Beacon Hill School Food Fair is held. This fair has an international theme and includes food of all kinds including Korean, Chinese, Western, Japanese, Indian, etc.

All applications for Beacon Hill School (like all other ESF schools) would be centrally processed by the Head Office of ESF. Catchment zones apply according to the residential address of the applicant. For more details, go to the ESF official website.

The small choir is a group of chosen singers who get to perform in places outside the school. They normally go to sing Christmas carols at different venues each year. Over the past few years, they have gone to Pacific Place.
