Beach Girls is a 2005 Television mini series that airs on the television network Lifetime. It is based on the best selling novel by Luanne Rice. The main characters are Jack played by Rob Lowe and Stevie Moore played by Julia Ormond.

New episodes air at 8:00 p.m on Sundays in the Lifetime Television Network.

The show is about 3 girls who spend their summers together in the small, quiet beach town of Hubbard's Point. The Beach Girls grew apart and the three of them went their separate ways. Until the death of one Beach Girl brings the others together again. Stevie Moore (Ormond) was best friends with Maddie Jack's sister and Jack's now deceased wife Emma. Emma and Jack's daughter Nell visit Hubbard's Point with her dad. Nell finds Stevie and tells her the whole story of her mother death and the events that followed the death. Jack was no longer on speaking terms with his sister Maddie due to the fact that he feels she is the one who caused the car accident that killed his wife. Maddie is an alcoholic and finally is forced to confront it when she discovers she is going to have a baby. In the third episode of the series she goes to an alcoholic recovery program. Along with the main story there are several subplots.

Subplots

Nell meets several teens her age at Hubbard's Point each with their own story.

Jack is in a relationship with a woman named Francesca, but the relationship ends in episode 3 when she accuses Jack of not wanting to date her but Stevie.

There is more to Emma's death then meets the eye. Including a secret admirer.

Nell has two best friends as her mother did named Sky and Claire.

Claire was in a relationship with a police officer named Marty but it ended when he asked Claire to lie so he could get out of rape charges.

Skye is in a relationship with hot Surfer dude Cooper. A sex tape of Skye and Cooper ends up on the Internet. She leaves him at a party and runs home crying. It is unknown whether their relationship will continue as of the end of episode 3.
