[edit] Map

Where in the world is the Bay of Bengal?

I've added a map to the article that might help you spatially locate the bay. --NormanEinstein 20:40, 15 September 2005 (UTC)

I wonder why such a recent map has "Dacca" as Bangladesh's capital --128.36.229.95 00:11, 5 February 2006 (UTC)

The data I used to create the map apparently uses the older spelling. I'll change it to Dhaka shortly. :-) --NormanEinstein 00:56, 5 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Expand notice

I nominated this for Version 0.5 because of its importance, but the article is very brief for such an important body of water - compare Red Sea. Could someone expand it? I also posted a request at Wikipedia:WikiProject India. Walkerma 04:13, 24 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Dwarka?

How come Dwarka is listed here? I believe Krishna's Dwarka lies in the west coast of India. Or is there another place with the same name under the Bay of Bengal? --srini 16:47, 13 March 2007 (UTC)
