Bayaluseemae

Bayaluseemae is the area lying to the east of Malnad, a region of Karnataka state in South India, or east of the western ghats. In the Kannada language, bayaluseemae means "plain ground". The area is largely open plain, with few hillocks. In many places, one can see for several kilometres. This type of region forms a major part of Karnataka's geography. The food, dialects, and lifestyles in Bayaluseemae vary greatly with location.The districts which belong to this type of region are Dharwad,Belgaum,Gadag,Haveri,Bijapur,Bagalkot,Gulbarga,Raichur,Koppal,Bellary,Chitradurga,Davangere,Tumkur,Hassan and Mandya.
