Baurchuk Art Tekin

Baurchuk Art Tekin ( known also as Idikut Baurchuk, Idikut Barchuq ) was a ruler, with a title " Idiqut ", of buddhist uyghur kingdom in Beshbalik ( near present Urumqi ), Kara-Hojo ( near present Turpan ) and Kumul at 1208-1235 AD.

At 1209 year he sparked rebellion against Kara-Khitai Gurkhan, that had forced uyghurs to pay tributes to Gurkhan a few years before, killed his Envoy Shaukam and sent Envoy to Chengiz Khan, asking for help and assistance. Chengiz Khan accepted Envoy and promised his help.

During 1209-1211 years Idiqut Baurchuk made some military expeditions against naimans, killed 4 sons of their ruler Dayan Khan and only after this approving of loyality to Chengiz Khan he was accepted by the latter in 1211 year in Mongolia, married to his daughter Altun Begi and declared by Chengiz Khan as his fifth son, after Juchi, Chagatay, Ugedei and Toluy. As result Uyghuria joined the Mongol Empire as its fifth Ulus in the same 1211 year.
