That fool Nanoboy has been at it again: He put Faramir's strength at 2,1000 and his loses at 700-800. WHERE ARE YOU GETTING THESE NUMBERS? WHERE? I think he's just making them up. ***Faramir had about 500 men, the book says this. It doesn't mention how many exactly were lost. Plus, in the first chapter of ROTK they give a detailed account of how many men reinforced Minas Tirith, which combined with their own garrison was under 5,000. I don't think 2,100 were in the field. But the point is, where did you get "2,100", Your imagination? A video game? Cards? WTF mate. Further, he goes on to say that there were "21,000 to 28,000" Morgul Host plus Haradrim. Where are you getting this? There were ~200,000 Orcs and 18,000 Haradrim (the book says 3X6,000 = 18,000). And he listed Mordor losses at 2,200 to 2,700--->based on WHAT? What are you basing this on? Numbers that look pretty to you? ----Ricimer
Actually, I have now read your previous "forces" thing from old edit: it's baseless. I can't find this refferences to "Faramir losing a third of his men" in the book, or anything stating how many men he took. Can you cite page number, etc? I did find the reference that Faramir's men killed 10 times there number, but it was just a drop in the buckt for a 200,000+ army. ---Ricimer
