[edit] Japanese casualties
That figure of "150+ killed" in the battlebox is impossibly low. Grant | Talk 07:15, 9 February 2007 (UTC)
- The relevant Australian official history quotes the Historical Section of the U.K. Cabinet Office as estimating a total 15,000 Japanese casualties for the Southern Expeditionary Army in the Philippines, Dutch East Indies, Malaya, Singapore (etc) campaigns during December 1941-April 1942. That suggests about 3,000-4,000 Japanese casualties in the Netherlands East Indies campaign. But no precise source or breakdown by geographical area is provided.
