[edit] Requested move from Battle of Herdonia (212 BC) to First Battle of Herdonia

The result of the proposal was not to move this page
A second battle was fought two years later that is called the Second Battle of Herdonia, also part of the Second Punic War. To be consistent, the word "first" should be added to the title of this battle. Roy Al Blue 19:43, 13 November 2005 (UTC)

- Oppose move. See Wikipedia:WikiProject Military history#Article title "If disambiguation is needed, add the year in parentheses, for example Battle of Salamis in Cyprus (306 BC). Two battles at the same place in the same year should be called "First", "Second", etc, for example First Battle of Zurich, Second Battle of Zurich." --Philip Baird Shearer 09:14, 14 November 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Discussion
- I've removed this page's entry from Wikipedia:Requested moves due to a lack of consensus on the move. If this changes, feel free to add another request.--Lox (t,c) 14:09, 9 January 2006 (UTC)
