[edit] Confusion about events
While the events described in the article's text represent everything that occurred in the campaign (including all of the events AFTER the Battle of Day's Gap), the battlebox on the right is only supposed to describe the events of that one battle. Therefore, although they ultimately surrendered, they did not surrender at the Battle of Day's Gap... Therefore, the battlebox should say one thing, while the text should say another.
