The Second Battle of Stockach was a battle of the War of the Second Coalition, fought between the French Directory and the Austrian Empire. The French force of 40,000 was led by Jean-Baptiste Jourdan, while the Austrian force of 60,000 was led by Archduke Charles. The French were defeated and driven back upon the Rhine river.
