Destruction of Diriyah took place in end of 1818 when Ibrahim Pasha forces have reached it , with a weak army Abdullah I tried to defense his capital,few days later Abdullah surrendered to Ottomans ,Abdullah was made prisoner and with his treasurer and secretary was sent to Istanbul (in some references he was sent to Cairo), where, in spite of Ibrahim's promise of safety and of Mohammad Ali's intercession in their favor, they were put to death. At the close of the year 1819 Ibrahim returned to Cairo, having subdued all opposition in Arabian Peninsula. ending the Ottoman-Saudi war, and starting his duty with Ottomans against Greek.
