Batman – The Dark Knight is a floorless roller coaster located at Six Flags New England. This style of coaster is designed to resemble a flying chair and give every rider a “front row” view of the trip. Opened in 2002, the ride has a purple and blue track with black supports. Due to the lack of a floor on the train, the station is specially designed with a floor that folds away when the train leaves and unfolds when the train arrives so people can get on and off safely. The layout is compact but packed with inversions. The steep drop twists 180 degrees to the left and sends you into a vertical loop. The loop is followed by a dive loop, and then there is a left 180 degree turn through the first loop. The turn is followed by an on-ride photo, then a zero-g-roll that makes you feel like you are being pulled out of your seat. The final two elements are interlocking corkscrews that send you into the brake run.
