A batman is a historical unit of mass of Persia of 2.97 kilograms.

A batman /bʌt`mɑn/ (of much different size) is a historical weight unit in Muslim parts of Russia used in 18th century and more before. It is equivalent to 1000 pood or 16.4 metric tons.
