[edit] Directionality

The article says that the space is divided and "each antenna" serves a region. Is this so?? AFAIK, the signal capured from all antennas (the "array") must be mixed in different ways to yield the signal coming from the different directions.

They are not individual directional antennas, like parabolic dishes... It's an array!!... And you can take the signal from wherever you like. Please, correct me if I'm wrong... I've been wondering about this subject for quite a while. I don t know for sure how much the antenna aray technology is already being used in cell phones. -- NIC1138 01:46, 27 March 2007 (UTC)
