Bassknives (BASSKNIV3S) are a London based punk rock band featuring ex- members of 3 Colours Red. The name is taken from the song 'White man in Hammersmith Palais' by The Clash. Influences are drawn from bands such as Killing Joke/ AC/DC and The Sex Pistols.

[edit] Biography

Ex- 3 Colours Red frontman/ bassist Pete Vuckovic formed 'BASSKNIV3S' with ex- 3CR guitarist Paul Grant in 2005, Vuckovic had written 4 new songs prior to the split of 3CR and decided to record them with a new band, the pair were soon joined by drummer Andrew Kearton and began rehearsing. They signed to 3CRs previous label Mighty Atom Records and recorded the 'Come on you motherfuckers' E.P in Swansea, Wales with producer Joe Gibb (Funeral for a Friend/ Million Dead) at the beginning of 2006, it was eventually released at the end of the year. They were joined by guitarist Rich Jones (ex-Amen/ The Yo-Yos/ The Black Halos) at the beginning of 2007, playing their debut show on the opening night of 'Klub Kerrang!' at Koko in Camden, London, supporting 'Gallows'. They are currently working on their debut album in London.
