Bassina is a genus of bivalve molluscs in the family Veneridae. Shells are rather large, ovate, of only moderate convexity, scuptured with concentic lamellae, which vary from simple and low, to long and frilled. A feature of the hinge is the unequally divided left median cardinal. Species are found in southern and eastern Australia, Tasmania and New Zealand.
