Basilisk Linux

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Basilisk Linux is a live CD distribution of Linux based on Fedora Core. Basilisk was put together as a showcase for what Linux can do before someone commits to installing it on their harddrive. It uses KDE as its window manager by default, but also comes with GNOME (which is Fedora's default).

It provides a full office suite (OpenOffice.org), instant messaging (Gaim), internet telephony (Skype, Ekiga, Teamspeak), web browsers (Mozilla Firefox, Mozilla, Konqueror, Epiphany), and various network tools (AirSnort, Snort, NMAP, Ethereal). It is multilingual, supporting English, French, German and Italian.
