Bashar Abdallah

Bashar Abdullah (born October 12, 1977) is the one of the most famous Kuwaiti footballers in the last ten years. He was a part of the mini revival of Kuwaiti football between 1996 and 1998. His part included winning two Gulf Cups, reaching the semi finals of the AFC Asian Cup and coming second in the Arab Cup and Asian Olympics. He was also in the Olympic team that reached the 2000 Olympics in Sydney. Nowadays, Bashar is still active although he is retired from international football in Aug 2005 after the exit from World Cup.
