Basellaceae is the botanical name for a family of flowering plants. Such a family has been recognized by several taxonomists.

The APG II system, of 2003 (unchanged from the APG system, of 1998), also recognizes such a family and assigns it to the order Caryophyllales in the clade core eudicots. The family comprises some two dozen species of herbaceous plants (some twining) in four genera:

Members of economic importance include the ulluco and the Malabar spinach.
