Basecamp is a web-based project-management tool developed by 37signals. The Ruby on Rails framework was extracted from the Basecamp project.

[edit] Basecamp API

A Basecamp API, created by 37signals, allows developers intergrate Basecamp into their applications. It allows applications to access and modify Basecamp data, and is implemented as Vanilla XML over HTTP. It also accepts requests in the YAML format but responses are given in XML. One example of the API in use is a Mac OS X Dashboard widget.
