Basch

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Basch is a Christian German surname, but the name is also used by some Jewish families because the surname indicates "son of Simon" (Ben Simon), but they have no genetic relationship with the German family.

Henrich Pasch, who was a Roman Catholic Banat Swabian, changed his name to Basch in the 18th century. So a group of Basch named people has Pasch origins. Now they have Hungarian descendants as well.
