BASI

BASI (British Association of Snowsport Instructors) is an organisation of snowsport instructors, internationally recognised by the International Ski Instructors Association (ISIA). It provides training for ski instructors at various levels. BASI offers qualifications in Skiing, snowboarding , telemarking, Nordic skiing and Adaptive Skiing.

BASI was founded in 1964 and has grown to have 6000 members who work around the world. BASI's courses where initially held mostly in Scotland, later moving to Tignes and now to Zermatt in Switzerland. BASI now runs courses in many location including New Zealand, Argentina and the USA.
