The article is important because Mr. Bertram was the longest serving commonwealth's attorney in the whole state of KY for a number of years. He served 31 years. He had a successful record in the office. He has an interesting personal life as well.

I looked over other KY politicians on the site: virtually none have reference to a "worldwide" view. KY is more parochial than most states, perhaps. I would need help in "globalizing" this article. I'm not even sure that Mr. Bertram ever left the country for business reasons while he was in the office.

I have "cleaned up" the article but did not find that much to clean up.

Can someone suggest a way to make this local and regional story "global" in focus?
