I've had a go at starting this article- I don't know a huge amount about Moore, but I hope I've left the seed for an article to take root. I was surprised there wasn't an article on Moore already... Vanky 12:39, 1 Feb 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Needs to be longer

Social Origins of Dictatorship and Democracy is one of the most important 20th century works in political science. Moore attempted an extremely ambitious, basically "how did we get here" study that was a landmark work. Sadly, I don't know much about it (I read it back in the day, when I didn't know much history or anything else). I'm sure someone can put more detail into either Moore's article or especially in the non-existent article on Social Origins.

[edit] Anthony Marx?

One of the last lines of the article says Anthony Marx was a student of Moore's at Harvard. It seems possible, but I'm not aware of Marx attending Harvard. Anyone have details/citations? (I've been working on Marx's page.) --Pjmorse 00:51, 26 November 2006 (UTC)
