Talk:Bardo

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

To who it may concern:

The word bardo in the Buddhist literature means some thing in common with the Gnostic word barbelo!! If this is true Gnostic Christianity has come from a form of Buddhism! This word has been mentioned in the gospel of Judas!!Bold text

[edit] Not completely accurate

As has been pointed out, Bardo means "intermediate state." While the period of transition between lives is a bardo, it is far from the only state considered to be a bardo. Most of life is considered the bardo of existence. All states that are impermanent are considered to be a bardo and all states are impermanent.

[edit] reference to bardo pond, a psych. rock band

i'll formulate a reference to one of my favourite bands, bardo pond, a psychedelic rock band from the US of A, who named themselves sort of after that philosophy (or rather philosophical term) in a short while

link to article
link to talk-page, where i announced including a band name stanza (includes two quotes, so that you don't have to browse their website for name history)

that is, i'll formulate a reference, if no one objects.
