Barzio is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Lecco in the Italian region Lombardy, located about 60 km northeast of Milan and about 12 km northeast of Lecco. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 1,291 and an area of 21.4 km².^[1]

The municipality of Barzio contains the frazione (subdivision) Concenedo.

Barzio borders the following municipalities: Cassina Valsassina, Cremeno, Introbio, Moggio, Pasturo, Valtorta, Vedeseta.
