Bart Edward Scott (born August 18, 1980 in Detroit, Michigan) is an American football linebacker who attended Southern Illinois University and is currently playing for the Baltimore Ravens of the NFL. Scott saw significant playing time during the 2005 season in which Ray Lewis injured his hamstring. He played in Lewis' absence at the middle linebacker position. Scott signed a three year contract extension with the Ravens even though the Cleveland Browns offered him more money. He is now starting LOLB/MLB for the Ravens, depending on which defense they're in. Ravens are known to play 4-3, 3-4, and 46 defenses. He lead the Ravens this year in tackles, he has also recorded 9.5 sacks and 2 interceptions.
Scott played his college football for the Southern Illinois Salukis. While at SIU, he played safety and linebacker.
He will play at the Pro Bowl in Hawaii replacing his teammate Ray Lewis because of a hand injury he sustained in a playoff loss to Indianapolis.
