Barry Shaw

Barry Shaw (b.1961) is a politician in Wales and member of Plaid Cymru. He is standing for the Vale of Glamorgan constituency in the National Assembly for Wales election, 2007.

Barry Shaw was born in Croydon, Surrey and at the age of four moved to the Thames Valley. In 1988 Barry moved to Wales and settled in Barry.

He has worked in numerous fields including as a warehouse assistant, taxi driver and computer consultant. Having first stood for Plaid Cymru in 1995, Barry became a councillor in 2004 representing Castleland Ward on the Vale of Glamorgan Council. Barry also stood for Plaid in the 2005 General Election.

Barry is a governor at Holton Primary School and is a member of Castleland Community Association, Barry Community Advisory Panel and Waterfront Public Liaison Group.

He is also a dog lover.
