Barry Martin Schuler (born September 7, 1953 in Jersey City, New Jersey) is American Internet pioneer, perhaps best known for making the Internet easy to use consumers while working for America Online for seven years, and being the CEO for three years.

Schuler started his career when he founded a communications company called CMP Communications. After working on that for ten years, he then went on to work with a company called Cricket software, where he met his second wife, Tracy Schuler. After working with Cricket, He then, in 1990, with Tracy Schuler and David Goldman, started Medior. Medior pioneered important interactive technologies such as e-commerce, and designed America Online. In 1995, Medior was acquired by America Online. Schuler had a number of assignments within AOL, including having responsibility for the client software and design. His ascent culminated in 2001, after the AOL-Time Warner merger, when he was named the CEO and Chairman of AOL. He reported to Robert W. Pittman, who was the Co-Chief Operating Officer of Time Warner. Schuler was replaced as CEO by Pittman in 2002 as the internet advertising market crashed and as an accounting scandal involving AOL's Business Affairs department blossomed.

In 2004, Schuler started Raydiance, a company that makes ultra-short pulse lasers. He currently is the CEO of Raydiance, and the managing director of the Draper Fisher Jurvetson Growth Fund, on the board of directors of UBMatrix, Hands On Mobile, UU See, and Visto, is a partner of Adirondack Pictures, and is the co-producer of Look (2006), with Brad Wyman.

He currently lives in Napa, California, where he co-started The Blue Oak School.
