Barrington, Cambridgeshire

Barrington is a village and civil parish in the South Cambridgeshire district of Cambridgeshire, England. According to the 2001 census it had a population of 904. The village is about ten miles south-west of Cambridge, between Haslingfield and Shepreth.

The village green covers 30 acres, is more than half a mile long and supposedly the longest in England[citation needed]. All Saints church is 13th and 14th century. Barrington Hall was once the seat of the Bendyshe family, but has more recently been used as offices. At the northern end of the village is the Cemex cement works.
