Barrett Ruud (born May 20, 1983 in Lincoln, Nebraska) is an American football linebacker for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers of the NFL. He was selected with the fourth pick of the second round of the 2005 NFL Draft out of the University of Nebraska.
Ruud is a graduate of Lincoln Southeast High School. His mother Jaime Ruud, 52, suffered a massive heart attack June 30. A nutritionist and published author, she led an active and vibrant life. Ruud's younger brother currently plays for Nebraska. The Ruuds have been called, "The First Family of Nebraska football".
