[edit] Character History

Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow.

Barracuda was a Green Beret whose A-team helped the CIA install Leopold Luna, a vicious South American dictator in the 1980s. After leaving the service, he spent time in jail and became a feared gangster. The Punisher destroyed his organization, taking off parts of Barracuda's fingers, putting out one of his eyes, and shooting him point-blank with a shotgun. He finished by dropping Barracuda in shark-infested water. Barracuda grabbed the back of the Punisher's boat and found his way back to safety.

An undetermined amount of time later, Barracuda is approached by Chris Angelone, an Italian Mafia boss. Angelone has been feuding with Luna about the price of cocaine, so he has decided that his 20-year old hemophiliac son Oswald will kill Luna with Barracuda's assistance. Unbeknownst to Angelone, Barracuda and Luna are old friends. Luna has taken Oswald into custody and threatened his father with his death. Barracuda is shown to have some ulterior motive, but it has not yet been revealed.
