Baron North
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The title Baron North was created in the Peerage of England as a barony by writ on January 17, 1554, for Edward North. North was a successful lawyer, clerk of the parliament (1531) and chancellor of the Court of Augmentations (1545). He was succeeded as 2nd baron by his son Roger.
The peerage became abeyant in 1802, but was called out of abeyance in 1841. It became abeyant again in 1941 and remains so.

[edit] Co-heirs
The Co-Heiresses are the sisters of the 13th Baron, Dorothy Anne Graham (b. 1915) and Susan Silence Beauchamp (b. 1920). Neither has petitioned to terminate the abeyance; if they fail to do so by 2042 or they both die the title will almost certainly enter permanent abeyance as none of their daughters will meet the criteria to make a valid claim.
