The title of Baron Grey of Werke, or Warke, of Chillingham was created once in the Peerage of England on 11 February 1624 for William Grey. The 3rd Baron was created Earl of Tankerville in 1695. On the death of the 4th Baron in 1706, who was Member of Parliament for Berwick some times before his succession to the barony, the barony became extinct.
