Baro River

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Baro River is a tributary of the Sobat in southwestern Ethiopia. It is created by the confluence of the Birbir and Gebba Rivers, then flows west, defining the northern boundary of the Gambela Region, to join with the Pibor River to create the Sobat. According to the Statistical Abstract of Ethiopia for 1967/68, the Baro is 277 kilometers long.

The second-longest bridge in Ethiopia crosses the Baro, connecting two parts of the Gambela Region. This bridge is 305 meters long.[1]
