Barista Coffee
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Barista Coffee is a chain of espresso bars in India. Headquartered in Delhi, Barista currently has over 100 espresso bars across India, Sri Lanka and the Middle East. It was founded in 1997, when Starbucks corporation refused to move into India. Its menu is almost identical to Starbucks', though the company lost the case when it filed a copyright infringement.[citation needed]. As of March 2007, Italy's Lavazza is close to acquiring Barista.
Barista Coffee is also a chain of coffee shops in Taiwan founded in March 1997 by Eddy Liu.
