Bardufoss
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Bardufoss is a small town (pop.: ca. 2200) in northern Norway. Located in Målselv between Narvik and Tromsø, it has a civilian and military airport, Bardufoss Airfield, suitable for landing bomber aircraft, fighter jets such as F-16s, and other heavy planes. It is also the home of the Norwegian Army's 6th division. Although not far from the coast, Bardufoss and the Bardu Valley is known for a somewhat more continental climate, and hence, colder winters (but with less humidity and not so much wind) compared to the coastal areas. It is covered in flora, and contains many natural resources.
