Barcelona Pavilion was a Toronto-based indie rock/electroclash band of the early 2000's. The band developed a cult following and was relatively unique among Toronto bands of the period, but disbanded after releasing two EPs, It's Because of the Barcelona Pavilion and It's the Barcelona Pavilion, on blue house and Blocks Recording Club.
The band was fronted by Maggie MacDonald, known as as a playwright, novelist and political activist in addition to her subsequent work as a rock musician in the The Hidden Cameras and the political punk band Republic of Safety.
The band were described by NOW in 2003 as "the best new band in Toronto", and were strongly associated with the Torontopia scene of the era.
